Community Survey Results
| We appreciate the responses received from our recent facility survey. The board and administration have reviewed the comments made from the community and are continuing to evaluate these responses. The final results of the survey along with comments are attached. Please note that a portion of one of the survey responses has been redacted, in that the redacted portion constitutes a personal attack on an NISD board member. The remainder of the referenced response pertaining directly to the proposed bond question has been included. Thank you again for your participation in this survey. |

NISD has received the Leadership Circle Award for the second year in a row for implementing financial transparency. Nederland ISD has earned a GOLD Leadership Circle Award by scoring eighteen of twenty possible points on ratings criteria. NISD would like to thank Melissa Wong and her team in the NISD Business Department for their efficiency and dedication which was instrumental in helping us obtain this prestigious award for a second year. |

eSchool Home Access Center (HAC)
 |
All NISD parents and legal guardians will have the opportunity to register for eSchool HAC for the 2011-2012 school year. Parents and guardians will have read only access to grades earned by their child and daily attendance informaton. With online access parents and guardians will be able to monitor grades on a daily basis and ensure their child is submitting work on time. There will be no grade surprises at progress report time or at the end of the six weeks with diligent monitoring. NISD Gold Card
The Nederland Independent School District Board of Trustees provides a special opportunity to senior citizens in the community. It's a way of saying "Thanks" to the seniors who have supported the public schools in Nederland. NISD offers a Gold Card free of charge to eligible senior citizens. This card provides free admission to all athletic and cultural events and activities sponsored by the district. More information about this program is provided by clicking this Gold Card link.
